Bridesmaids 'should be enthusiastic' at venues in Hertfordshire

It is important bridesmaids are supportive and appear enthusiastic during their friend's wedding, it has been claimed.

Published by Francessca Arens

Bridesmaids preparing for their friend's nuptials at wedding venues in Hertfordshire have been advised to ensure they are organised and on time.

The Toronto Sun cited a list of dos and don'ts provided by E & J Gallo Winery that could help anxious ladies ensure they play their role on the big day.

Some of the suggestions seemed fairly sensible ideas that most on-the-ball bridesmaids would consider such as providing emotional support for their friend and acting enthusiastic.

No one wants a miserable maid of honour dampening their excitement, so women were told to remember the reason they were picked is because they are "special and important to the bride".

Another piece of advice was to bring a handy kit with last-minute necessities such as breath mints, deodorant and make-up in case the newlywed wants to freshen up throughout the day.

In a recent article for Suite101, Gabrielle Wollen commented that bridesmaids should be prepared to accompany their friends to wedding dress fittings and help with things like stuffing invitation envelopes.

Wedding Caterers in London news: Amy Winehouse 'proposes to boyfriend'

Wedding Caterers in London news: Amy Winehouse 'proposes to boyfriend'

Troubled singer Amy Winehouse is said to have been turned down by her boyfriend when she asked him to marry her.

Published by Richard Charles

Fans of Amy Winehouse who are looking for wedding caterers in London may be shocked to hear the singer has reportedly proposed to her boyfriend.

A source told the Daily Star the troubled star "burst" on to film director Reg Traviss's set and asked him to be her husband.

It is claimed the 27-year-old was brandishing a curry and bottle of cava hoping to spend time with her on-off partner.

Now I don't know about you, but the idea of a being asked to get hitched over a glass of wine and a takeaway doesn't seem like the most enticing scenario.

It seems Traviss may have felt the same way, as he is believed to have turned down the proposal.

"Amy ended up asking him to marry her. He said no, he wasn't ready for such a commitment," the insider stated.

After listening to the 33-year-old explain he did not want children for a number of years, the pop star apparently fled the room.

Winehouse was previously married to Blake Fielder-Civil.

Wedding Venues in Hertfordshire news: Is Ashley Olsen's boyfriend to propose?

Ashley Olsen's boyfriend Justin Bartha is rumoured to be thinking about popping the question.

Published by Gina Freed

Hangover star Justin Bartha is said to be planning to propose to Ashley Olsen, in news which may be of interest to those getting married at wedding venues in London.

A source told Us Weekly the actor was "in love and just waiting for the right time".

The couple have been dating for two years an, according to the insider, are a perfect match.

However, it is not the first time the 32-year-old has asked Olsen to be his wife, the source claimed.

It was suggested Bartha has previously broached the subject with the 24-year-old actress and she said no.

Maybe this time the former child star is ready for the next step, as the couple are believed to have discussed what they would want on their big day and decided on a "low-key affair".

They are not the only Hollywood pair thought to be considering their future, as the National Enquirer recently stated that by the end of the year, Justin Timberlake could ask Jessica Biel to marry him.

Wedding Caterers in London News

Nicole Richie has told of how she would rather her singer father Lionel did not perform at her nuptials.

Published by Richard Charles

Couples getting hitched at wedding venues in Hertfordshire may like the idea of being serenaded by friends and family at their reception, but one star said she would not be happy if it happened at her nuptials.

Despite her dad being the famous singer Lionel Richie, Nicole Richie told E! News she would rather her father did not break into song when she ties the knot with fiance Joel Madden.

She told the publication: "I am not down [with that]!"

However, it seems if her future husband gets his own way the former Commodores band member could be performing after all.

Madden said he would "love Lionel to play a song" at their wedding.

Even with all the talk of tying the knot, Richie refused to give away any details about when or where she and the father of her two children would be walking down the aisle.

Another celebrity couple who are being coy about the date of their ceremony are Katy Brand and Russell Brand, who have handed out the invites but left the exact details off the information.

Are brides marrying at wedding venues in Hertfordshire trying to lose weight?

Beverley Callard, who plays Liz MacDonald in Coronation Street, has spoken of how she has been determined to lose weight before her big day.

Published by Gina Freed

Coronation Street actress Beverley Callard has spoken of trying to shed the pounds before tying the knot, something brides marrying at wedding venues in Middlesex may be able to relate to.

In an interview with the Daily Mirror, the star explained how she was so unhappy with her weight she almost called the nuptials off.

"I just thought I couldn't walk down the aisle looking the way I did and didn't think I'd be able to shift that weight in time," the 53-year-old commented.

However, with a lot of will power Callard is well on her way to regaining her size eight figure and said the support of her 20 bridesmaids has helped.

A number of the Corrie ladies will be accompanying the bride-to-be as she says "I do" comma including former Hear'Say singer Kym Marsh.

Every bride wants to look good in their wedding dress but I wonder if many would choose to follow the exercise route or would consider having plastic surgery, as a number of ladies are set to do in a new US show to be aired on E!.

The guest X Factor judge explained how she wants to wed her boyfriend soon and then start having children, the Sun reports.

She said: "I'm really traditional - I'd want to be married before we have kids and that's something we'll hopefully be doing soon."

Venues in Hertfordshire news: 'Wedding insurance 'is a must'

People have been advised to take out an insurance policy to cover any problems that could occur at their wedding.

Published by Francessca Arens

Couples getting married at wedding venues in Hertfordshire may wish to take one writer's advice and invest in insurance ahead of their big day.

Writer Adam Leyton described how in an attempt to reduce the cost of getting hitched, many brides and grooms overlook getting cover.

However, he stressed that with the average ceremony totalling at £20,000, it is vitally important that people ensure they have one all-encompassing policy.

Mr Leyton explained that should there be a problem, individuals may not receive compensation if they have lots of different insurance schemes for specific parts of the wedding.

He added: "At no other time in your life will you risk £20,000 on the gamble that one particular event on one particular day will go according to plan."

Talking of wedding insurance, policy provider Ecclesiastical recently claimed that according to the number of couples that took out cover for September 3rd, it was the most popular day to get hitched in 2010.

Venues in Hertfordshire news: 163 couples marry in 'lucky nine wedding in Taiwan'

A mass wedding was held in Taiwan at 09:09 local time to celebrate the 99th anniversary of the Republic.
Published by Richard Charles

In celebration of the lucky number nine, hundreds of Chinese brides and grooms tied the knot yesterday (September 9th), news which may be of interest to couples marrying at wedding venues in London.
A mass wedding was organised by Taiwan's Taipei city government and took place at 09:09 local time.
In the country's culture it is believed that the number brings luck as its Mandarin character reads like the phrase "long-lasting".

The blessing also coincided with the 99th anniversary of the Republic and the ninth day of the ninth month.
Mayor Hau Lung-bin served as the chief witness and bells rang out across the city in recognition of the event.
Although the day was special in the Chinese culture, I'm not so sure all brides would be happy to share their big day with another 162 women.

However, this does remind me of another similar celebration due to take place on October 10th at St Francis Church in Dorset to mark the building's 50th anniversary, as recently reported by the BBC.

Following her highly anticipated wedding to Russell Brand, Katy Perry has said the pair will not be talking about their relationship.

Published by Gina Freed

Couples preparing for their marriage at wedding venues in Hertfordshire may be interested to hear that Katy Perry has announced she will be keeping details of her relationship under wraps after her nuptials.

The bride-to-be explained that she and Russell Brand have come to a mutual decision that they will no longer discuss information about their lives in public, the Press Association reports.

Explaining why, she said "because it's like, we're married, so we're married. What more can I say?".

The singer added that the recent displays of affection were not for the cameras but purely because the couple are so loved-up it's hard not to hide their feelings.

Since becoming engaged in January, there has been much media coverage and rumours circulating about when and where Perry and Brand will wed.

Another celeb couple who has kept the details of their big day private are Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr, who recently exchanged vows in a secret ceremony.

Are brides getting married at venues in Middlesex to trash their gowns after the big day?

A number of Canadian brides have decided the best way to celebrate their marriage is to ruin their wedding gown after the event.

Published by Francessca Arens

A new trend may interest brides who are wondering what to do with their gown after getting married at wedding venues in Middlesex.

Canadian newlywed women have been taking their once beloved dresses and trashing them in photo shoots with a difference, CBC News reports.

The craze has seen ladies don their bridal gown and head to the nearest pond to pose for a series of alternative pictures.

"I'm not going to get married again. You get married and you're done with the dress. It's going to hang in the closet. Let's wear it again and do something cool," explained Dana Salares who walked down the aisle a year ago in a $2,000 [£1,288] gown.

Originating in the Caribbean where brides would frolic in the sea in cheap dresses, the movement has now become an inspiration for many Canadian women.

I wonder whether the eager ladies who avidly queued outside one US store for hours ahead of a competition to bag a high-end dress at a bargain price would be so willing to ruin their gown.

Wedding venues in Hertfordshire news

Couples looking to get married on a budget can now buy engagement rings for just £15 as they do their weekly shopping.

Published by Richard Charles

A new range of jewellery could save couples getting married at wedding venues in London a tidy sum.
Supermarket chain Tesco has unveiled a new collection of budget engagement rings that cost a fraction of the price of a diamond sparkler, the Daily Mail reports.

The gold-plated bands are fashioned in the same design as traditional rings, but instead of an expensive gem, zirconia stones are what glitter under the lights.

Now men planning to propose can pick up the bargain jewellery for just £15 as they do the weekly food shop at their local store.

A spokesperson for the company said: "With gold prices rocketing - they reached £860 per ounce in June - we have found an affordable alternative to help recession-hit Brits get engaged in style."

One celebrity recently caught up in an engagement ring mystery was actor George Clooney, whose girlfriend was seen sporting an unusual looking band which turned out to be only a napkin ring worn as a joke.

Couples to incorporate unusual traditions at wedding venues in Middlesex?

Kidnapping the bride and covering her in feathers and eggs are just some of the more wacky customs different cultures perform to celebrate marriage.

Published by Richard Charles

Couples getting married at wedding venues in Middlesex may wish to include a traditional wedding custom from the region they are from.

The Daily Telegraph took a look at different celebrations from around the globe carried out to mark the beginning of newlyweds' lives together.

In Scotland, the bride is marched around town doused in oil, feathers and eggs, while in the US a now less popular tradition is to ruin the bridal gown by covering it in water or mud.

The Spanish favour more low-key habits such as the groom providing his soon-to-be wife with 13 coins, which she takes to the ceremony to symbolise his intention to look after her.

Meanwhile, Welsh brides give their bridesmaids myrtle to plant and if their cutting flowers it means they will soon be married themselves.

Finally, the paper noted that the Germans have a ritual which involves the best man kidnapping the woman and taking her to drink champagne in a pub until the groom finds them.

A traditional English custom is to ensure the bride has an item to represent each of the aspects of a Victorian rhyme; something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

Wedding venues in Middlesex news: Batman weds Wonder Woman

A couple dressed as their favourite superheroes exchanged vows in front of Batman's sidekick and his arch enemy.

Published by Gina Freed

Couples thinking about how they can put a twist on their weddings at venues in Middlesex may want to take tips from one pair of newlyweds who dressed as superheroes.

Neil Vaughan, otherwise known as Batman, wed his fiancee Sharon - who was dressed as Wonder Woman - in front of Superman, Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk.

Robin was the best man and the Joker acted as master of ceremonies at the fancy dress nuptials in Paignton, Devon.

Other guests included Captain America and Bananaman, who watched as the bride walked down the aisle wearing a red corset, blue hotpants and tiara with a veil, accompanied by the Powerpuff Girls.

Mrs Vaughn said: "Our wedding was absolutely amazing and it cost us less than some couples would spend on just the dress."

Inspired by their love of dressing up, the pair decided to channel their favourite characters for the ceremony.

Costume weddings seem to be all the rage at the moment after the Aberdeen Press and Journal reported how Angela and Elliot McDonough wed as their alter egos, Marie Antoinette and Captain Jack Sparrow.

'Choose modern cars' to travel to wedding venues in Hertfordshire

To arrive in style at wedding venues in Hertfordshire, couples have been advised to choose a sleek, modern vehicle that offers reliability and glamour.

Published by Francessca Arens

Couples have been advised to ditch the classic car and choose instead to arrive in a new top-of-the-range model at their wedding venues in Hertfordshire.

Motoring expert Neil Lydon wrote in an article for the Daily Telegraph how old fashioned style vehicles are outdated and only fit for posing in photographs with.

Instead, he encouraged couples to consider options such as the Audi A8 or a Jaguar XJ, which offer comfort and class while being entirely dependable.

He stated: "Most of the so-called 'classics' offered today were the dads' cars and the executive saloons of half a century ago. They survive as nothing more than clapped-out cliches."

New cars are more original and a much better option than "fantasy cars" which have a fairytale quality, Mr Lydon added.

Similarly, in a recent article for Women24.com, Tamsin Wort described how brides-to-be shouldn't be afraid to do away with other traditional aspects such as being walked down the aisle by their father or wearing white, but instead be brave enough to flout conventions.

Weddings at venues in Middlesex to have personalised themes?

As more couples celebrate their weddings with a twist, couples getting hitched at venues in Middlesex may want to think about how they too can add something personal to their big day.

Published by Gina Freed

Brides looking to add a unique touch to their weddings venues in Middlesex may wish to take pointers from couples who have staged their own personalised nuptials.

An article in the Metro looked at four examples of newlyweds from across the globe who chose to add an unusual feature to their big day.

One pair of techno-enthusiasts were wed by a four-foot tall robot vicar in a restaurant in Japan, while another bride and groom opted for a musical theme at their ceremony.

Elsewhere, Star Wars fans Bramwell Brightey and Tamsyn Lofts from Surrey donned fancy dress outfits to marry in costumes replicating characters from George Lucas's hit films and got their guests to join in the fun dressed as Chewbacca and Yoda.

Possibly the most extreme of all the nuptials were those held by daredevils Katie Hodgson and Darren McWalters, who celebrated their marriage on the wings of three planes 1,000 feet off the ground.

Talking of weddings with a difference, it was recently reported by NBC New York that US thrill-seekers April Pignataro and Michael Curry were planning to say I do underwater in a tank teeming with sharks.

Fancy dancing down the aisle at your wedding venue in Middlesex?

Elaborate dance moves could be the perfect way to wow guests at your wedding venue in Middlesex and make the day more personal.

Published by Francessca Arens
If you fancy yourself as a bit of a dancer, why not impress guests at your wedding venue in Middlesex and try the latest trend of putting on a unique performance for your friends and family.

Popular US television shows such as Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance are thought to be inspiring soon-to-wed couples to brush up on their dance moves ready for their big day, QMI Agency noted.

Choreographed routines and fun comedy skits have become increasingly popular at ceremonies, with newlyweds hitting the dance floor to unusual numbers that get the party started, the publication stated.

Ian Gooley, owner of Canadian dance school Arthur Murray Dance Studio, said: "Wedding dancing has gotten a little more personalised and more exciting. Couples really want to rock their reception and put their personal stamp on their weddings."

People are advised to start learning four to six weeks before their nuptials and Mr Gooley claimed the training is worth it as dancing is a great pastime and husband and wife teams can take the skill forward into their married lives.

This reminds me of one of the most recent videos to take YouTube by storm – footage from Jill and Kevin Kheinz's wedding in which the bridesmaids and groomsmen danced down the aisle to Chris Brown's song Forever, before the group parted and the groom himself did a forward roll into the church.

Time magazine classed the video as one of the top 50 best clips to appear on the website since it began five years ago and with more than 52 million hits it seems plenty of people agree!

Venues in Hertfordshire news: Bride gives birth at ceremony

Published by Francessca Arens

Brides-to-be currently seeking wedding venues in Hertfordshire to host their wedding are likely to have a lot on their mind right now, what with organising invitations, catering and flowers among so many other things, but one woman had a lot more on a her plate when she went into labour on her big day!

Stevie Hales wed her fiance Damion Cobden in Tamworth, Staffordshire, despite her waters breaking the night before.

But the bride-to-be was determined that she would tie the knot as planned, walking down the aisle at 14:00 BST - nearly ten hours since the medics advised her to go to hospital at 04:10 BST, then stayed at the ceremony before she could no longer cope at 17:00 BST, the Mirror revealed.

"I didn't think I would be able to get down the aisle but I was so determined," 21-year-old Ms Hales told the newspaper.

"The midwife said it was the first time they'd had a bride come in wearing a wedding dress and they had to clear the confetti up off the floor."

Finley, a baby boy, was born the next day - perhaps the best nuptial gift any newlyweds could get.

Some women are very determined indeed when it comes to their big day, they just want everything to be just right and, like Ms Hales, wouldn't miss it for the world.

This story reminds me of Chantel Koorts, who the Sun said was a real perfectionist when it came to her nuptials.

According to the tabloid, Ms Koorts asked her bridesmaids to diet and even sent them to boot camp to lose weight before she tied the knot!

Celebs might try to escape the media when booking caterers in London

Published by Richard Charles

Celebrities don't seem to be able to plan their weddings in private once the media has found out and, with one couple trying to confuse the press while they organise their nuptials, perhaps there'll be some celebs trying to flee the limelight while they book Wedding caterers in London.

According to Cover Media, British actress Emily Blunt and her fiance John Krasinski have set two different dates for their wedding to try and throw the media off the scent.

The couple are reportedly planning to wed in California in the coming weeks, but they have kept the details to themselves.

According to the news provider, an insider told US Weekly magazine: "Emily and John aren't very Hollywood, but they are setting two dates to throw people off ... they want it to be intimate."

She may be able to keep most of the information about her big day from leaking to the press, but it seems they are always looking for hints and rumours.

Just recently, Hollywoodlife.com claimed that Marc Bouwer may be designing Blunt's dress after he told the ezine -what kind of gown he thought the bride-to-be might suit.

Caterers in Hertfordshire news: US star goes wedding cake shopping

Published by Francessca Arens

People seeking caterers in Hertfordshire to cook for their big day may like to know what Annalynne McCord from the US hit series 90210 looks for in a wedding cake.

According to the Daily Mail, the celebrity was recently out shopping for a centrepiece for her friend's nuptials in Beverly Hills and was spotted drinking some healthy, organic juice - perhaps trying to offset the damage from the luxury puddings she was about to eat!

Shopping in Hansen's Cakes - famous for catering for the weddings of stars like Khloe Kardashian, Tori Spelling and Avril Lavigne - the slim actress nibbled on different varieties of cake for a whole hour!

At one point, she got so emotional helping her pal organise her nuptials that she began to cry, the newspaper claimed.

Well, McCord might have a lot of cake to get through because it seems like there are so many different types to try now and from some very dedicated cake makers!

The Columbia Daily Tribune recently reported that owner of Cakes with the Personal Touch Edith Hall can spend as much as 200 hours perfecting one centrepiece.

Caterers in Middlesex news - Stars not dressing up for their weddings?

Published by Gina Freed

Most people looking for caterers in Middlesex for their wedding are likely to be deliberating over their perfect outfit, but it seems some celebrities don't think it's such a big deal!

Those searching for caterers in Middlesex for their wedding are probably spending a large amount of their time just looking at bridal gowns and suits to choose the absolutely perfect one for their big day, but it seems that's not the case for some celebrities!

According to People magazine, Harrison Ford recently got married wearing jeans, while Piers Morgan was wed looking no different than usual!

"Piers looked exactly as he does on TV," one onlooker told the Mirror. "It could have been one of the suits he wears on Britain's Got Talent."

Ford tied the knot to Calista Flockhart at a Santa Fe mansion on governor of New Mexico Bill Richardson's estate, the publication reported.

Although the Indiana Jones star opted for Wranglers over a Tux, his bride did not complain, it has been claimed.

Bernie Pollack, a friend of the Star Wars actor, told the magazine that the "honest" way in which he was dressed would underline that fact and "enhance what they already had."

Well perhaps some people don't need all the frills, but I think that if I were ordering from caterers in Middlesex, I'd want to make a fuss!

Wedding planners 'could make arranging weddings at venues in Middlesex less stressful'

[Getting married at venues in Middlesex can be stressful, so why not hire a wedding planner?]

Published by Francessca Arens

With all of the work that goes into organising ceremonies at venues in Middlesex it can be stressful getting married, which is exactly why many couples are hiring wedding planners.

The Victoria Times Colonist talked to bride-to-be Lyndsay Pearce about why she got professional help to prepare for her big day on August 28th, when she will get hitched to fiance Chris Cowell.

"I helped plan my best friend's wedding and I am confident I could plan my own," she told the newspaper. "Still, I wanted somebody to make sure I didn't forget anything"

Although it would traditionally be the role of the mother and friends of the woman getting married to help her organise her nuptials, it's likely that most of these people will be in full-time jobs and sometimes it just isn't feasible to do it that way anymore. Besides, many couples just aren't comfortable leaving the decisions up to an amateur, the news provider suggested.

Not everybody has a fortune to spend on their wedding, though, so some may feel that they can't afford any help with the preparations.

This may not necessarily be true, as the Daily Express recently reported that the service can be hired just for the big day - a cheaper option to having the whole event planned out professionally.

Paying for an organiser to attend your wedding might be something to consider, since having someone there to find the solution to any mishap could see you just letting your hair down and enjoying the day!

'Recycle wedding dresses' from ceremonies in venues in Middlesex to support charity

[Those who are planning to get married in venues in Middlesex could support a breast cancer charity by recycling their wedding dress.]

People considering getting married at venues in Middlesex may currently be looking at wedding dresses and perhaps lamenting the fact they will only wear them once.

Well, that's not necessarily the case, as a charity is currently raising funds by encouraging women to go to work in their bridal gowns.

Breakthrough Breast Cancer and the National Wedding Show have joined together to launch Brides at Work Day, where women - whether they have been married for five years, 50 or haven't even tied the knot at all - will get sponsored to sport the dresses wherever they go on September 17th.

And if it isn't possible to wear the gown all the time, you can still get involved by putting on a tiara, veil or garter, the organisers have said.

TV Fashion guru Caryn Franklin commented: "This is a chance to get that dress out again and relive the big day for a great cause."

Women who want to join in but have to find a dress first might want to have a look at Franklin's website Howtolookgood, which gives tips on finding the right clothes for your body shape.

There seems to be so many cake choices at caterers in Middlesex

People seeking caterers in Middlesex for weddings may want to put some thought into what kind of cake they would like, as it seems like there are a lot of choices nowadays!.

Published by Gina Freed

Gone are the days when a wedding cake was a traditional, white, three-tiered affair. There are so many different choices these days, it seems like those hiring caterers in Middlesex for their wedding may be spending a while choosing the perfect centrepiece.

The El Paso Times recently spoke to a bride-to-be in the US to see how much thought had gone into the sweet for her ceremony.

Claudia Chavez will tie the knot to Freddy Provencio this month and told the paper that picking her dessert was ... well, no piece of cake!

"Round, square or hexagon? How many tiers? What filling to use and what style of icing? There are too many choices," she said.

Eventually she went for one with four tiers, with the top two shaped like hearts and the lower two filled with cupcakes.

And apparently cupcakes are becoming more popular, as owner of Cupcakes and Cookies by T, To-a Ligorio, told the publication that brides have been pleased with the reaction they get.

Ms Ligorio's treats are made in 13 different flavours, including pink lemonade, Boston cream pie and Neapolitan and banana.

She normally makes a larger wedding cake so that newlyweds have something to cut and surround it with the smaller puddings.

Ms Chavez surely can't be the only bride overwhelmed with choice? It seems like there's almost too many varieties available now.

Ktnv.com recently described several different kinds of one-dimensional patterns brides and grooms can have on their cakes, including paisley and monograms.

Why not go back in time for weddings at venues in Hertfordshire?

(People seeking wedding venues in Hertfordshire might want to make their big day unique like one couple in Devon did recently.)

Published by Francessca Arens

If you're looking for wedding venues in Hertfordshire, why not take on a fun theme like one couple who had a medieval ceremony.

The Exmouth Journal reported that 35-year-old Wayne Stewart, and Vicki O'connor, 33, were married at the weekend at Lympstone Church.

The couple wanted to do something for their wedding ceremony that would make it special and unique.

"We have been together for a number of years and attended several weddings. For our big day, we wanted to do something different and fun," Mr Stewart told the newspaper.

As they got married, the groom did not wear the traditional suit and tie but replaced it with a knight's costume, while all of the guests also wore fancy dress.

Traditions such as the Furry Dance - a festival held in nearby Helston, for which people wear costumes - show that "people like dress up", Mr Stewart continued. Plus, there are a lot of historical events that are associated with the area so, it seems, the couple felt like their medieval affair would fit in rather nicely.

If you're not sure about going the whole hog and getting dressedup in something quirky for your wedding but you still want to make the occasion fun and frivolous, why not order a special cake from caterers in Middlesex?

Lido offers two types of catering packages including in-house catering and outside catering. There are a number of packages available some to mention are as follows:

Canapés, Bowl Food, Finger Buffets, Fork Buffets, Barbeque Grills, Bespoke Buffets, Banqueting, Evening Buffets, Weddings and we also have an exquisite Wine and Bar list.

People are having all sorts of unusual centrepieces nowadays. Edith Hall, owner of Cakes with the Personal Touch in Missouri, has made sugar tigers, rabbits, donkeys, tennis rackets, golf balls and even a cake in the shape of a fish!

Could a musical help your weddings at venues in Middlesex go with a bang?

If you're looking for an interesting way to entertain guests at your wedding reception, a musical could be one idea.

Published by Gina Freed

If you've been looking for a way to add a unique and quirky touch to your wedding venues in Middlesex, I may have the perfect idea for you.

Clare Bolton and Joe Cochrane, who studied at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts – which is based in Sir Paul McCartney's old school - wrote a musical about their lives and performed it for guests at their wedding reception, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Called A Coch and Bolt Story after their surnames, the production sounds to me like the ideal way to keep people entertained and it certainly beats the usual wedding DJ.

The couple even introduced a theme to their nuptials – village steampunk – and got everyone dressed up in retro costumes, posh waistcoats and goggles decorated with cogs and steam pipes.

Ms Bolton said: "It was all a little bit crazy. I don't think anyone will go to a wedding like mine again!"

OK, so it may be a bit much for some of you, but if you want to be different you may as well do it in style!

Themed weddings could be great in venues in Hertfordshire

Having a theme is one way of making a wedding extra special in venues in Hertfordshire and it sounds like Welsh football star Sam Ricketts and his new wife, model Kimberly Stanworth, made theirs a day to remember.

Although the couple exchanged their vows in a village church in Lambourn, Berkshire, they took their home country of Wales with them.

The dress, the food, the music and even the stationery was Welsh in origin, according to Wales Online. "Wales moved to England for the day and it was a great success," the happy groom said.

Dragon flags flew throughout the day and the couple walked down the aisle into married life to the sound of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau - the Welsh national anthem.

Kimberly, from Rudry in Caerphilly, looked beautiful in a traditional white gown with a long flowing veil, holding a luxuriant bouquet of deep red roses. Her hair was coiffed by Cardiff-based hairdressers Constantinou, while her dress and those of the bridesmaids were created by the Welsh designer Huw Rees. Beside her, beaming happily, Sam wore a traditional black suit with a white shirt and cream tie and a red rose in the pocket of his jacket.

From the church, the bride and groom were whisked away to the reception in a four-horsed carriage from bridgend. Then, at the house of Ricketts' uncle - jockey John Francome - where the party was being held, the 175 guests were each given a treat. For the men, there was Penderyn whisky; for the women, Welsh cakes. As the crowds arrived, enjoying their Welsh delicacies, they sat at tables named after the nation's towns and cities.

And who thought up this fairytale day?

"It's every girl's dream to plan their wedding. It's only something you do once and so I left most of it down to Kimberley," the Bolton-player said. "Everyone said it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to."

The lavish wedding sounds like it was absolutely beautiful, but with a price tag of £50,000 you wouldn't expect less! It isn't only the rich and famous that can have their dream weddings, though, all it takes is a few little tricks to keep the cost down.

For example, Money Week recently recommended that brides and grooms have a luxurious affair and keep in their budget by booking venues during off-peak times. So if you're looking for the ideal wedding venue in Hertfordshire and you want to reserve your budget, you might want to do a little research to see what time of year you could get hitched at a low cost so you have plenty of money for all those extra frills.

Here at Lido we can provide wedding packages to suit everyone including wedding reception services. We also provide wedding catering packages as well to which you will find quite a diverse range of foods available, some to mention are: Banqueting, Evening Buffets and bespoke buffets.

What should guests wear to wedding venues in Middlesex?

"The bride may be sorted with her wedding outfit, but what about the guests?"

Published by Francesca Arens

If you've already booked your wedding venue or caterers in Middlesex and chosen your perfect gown, you'll have nothing to worry about when it comes to getting dressed for the big day.

But I'm going to be a guest at my friend's nuptials this summer and I know that I've definitely struggled to find the perfect outfit.

Obviously I'm staying well clear of white – no one wants to upstage the bride – but how colourful or flamboyant should I go?

According to Fashion For Lunch, a frock with bright patterns or delicate embellishments can make quite a statement and I'm starting to think I shouldn't be afraid of using the opportunity to dress up.

The publication adds: "So we say lets do drastic, full length gowns, bright summer floral prints and sky scraper heels."

I think I'll follow this advice, especially as show designer Paola Venturi recently told Style Binge that platforms can be much comfier than normal heels. Perfect for standing around and having lots of photos taken.
