The Grange wedding house, originally built in the 14th century, offers several options when it comes to the menus you can plan for your event. If a sit down menu is what you want The Grange can seat up to 280 people, including our Marquee room, 100 people in two rooms if you prefer to have a fork buffet, or plan a cocktail party for 150 people.
The Marquee room has beautiful Champagne colored silk walls as well as French windows and subtle lighting. The napkins can be coordinated to match your chosen colors. The price also includes Damask linen tablecloths, fine china and bead patterned silverware. In advance of your event you will meet with an event coordinator and they will discuss each option with you more in depth.
The Grange offers several buffet types. The Canapé service is perfect for cocktails and features things such as Highland Smoked Salmon Canapés. Prices for it are based on a 2 hour service.
The Finger Buffet, which covers more casual events, serves bite sized dishes. There are eight different menus to choose from and the option of Hot or Cold foods with each menu. Some examples of those dishes include Mini Quiche, Sausage rolls, Italian beef kabobs, Cocktail sandwiches, King Prawns, Asparagus rolls, and stuffed tomatoes and Cajun Potato Skins with Sour Cream. It also includes desserts such as Mini Meringue Nests with Fresh Fruit & Vanilla Cream or Chocolate Éclairs. Most parties of this style have a time frame of around 2-4 hours. The prices for this range are starting from £9.50 to £24.50 per person, depending on the number of people and which menu you choose.
The Bowl Food menu is the next step up. It is food that can be eaten out of a bowl while standing. These are ideal for parties that are more than casual but less than formal and usually average between 2 -4 hours. This menu can be tailored to your needs.
The Fork Buffet includes meat main dishes, as well as a vegetarian option and fresh salad or a vegetable. The Fork buffet is a seated service that has a staff at one table plating the food. There are over 15 menus to choose from with the option of Hot or Cold dishes. An example of one of the Hot menu's includes Roasted Chicken Breast with homemade stuffing, Roasted Topside of Beef with Yorkshires Spinach, Mushroom & Courgette, Lasagna, Roasted Potatoes, Spring Chicken with Rosemary, Shallots & Garlic, Tomato, Mozzarella & Basil Salad, Pasta and Mixed Bean Salad, Aubergine Caponata, Caesar’s Salad, Warm Ciabatta Bread, Tiramisu or Forest Fruit Vacherin served with Coffee & Mints. Prices for this menu range from £18.25-£31.75 per person.
Barbeque Grills are also available weather permitting. Outdoors the chefs use charcoal grills, however should you like the service can be made to work for indoors as well. There four menus to choose from and include items such as Rosemary Grilled Pork Loin, Memphis Style Ribs with Honey & Sesame, Grilled Bacon Wrapped Prunes, Cumberland Sausages, Red Cabbage or Choux pastry Buns filled with Caramel & Fresh Cream topped with Chocolate Sauce, Steak and Glazed Salmon Kebabs, Marinated Leg of Lamb Steaks with Yoghurt & Herbs, Flash Fried King Prawns with Aioli, Grilled Fish with Garlic Marinade, Vegetable Kebabs, Grilled Buttered Corn on the cob, Spanish Grilled Vegetable Salad, and Tomato Salad with Feta Cheese. Prices for this menu range from £19.25-£25.25 per person.
The Evening buffet is good for after a wedding reception or a late evening event. It consists of light finger food. There are four menus to choose from and you have the option to add pastries, cheesecakes or other desserts to the menu. Some dishes include BBQ Chicken Drumsticks, Sausage Rolls, Egg and Bacon Flan, and
Vegetarian Spring Rolls. Prices range from £6.50-£9.00 per person.
The Grange will also give you the ability to customize the buffet of your choice. The Bespoke buffet allows you to choose two main dishes, three vegetable dishes or salads and two desserts, with either Banquet of Standard service. Some examples include Steak Forestiere, Coq-au-vin, Tai Green Chicken Curry, Lamb Provencal, Seafood Pasta Bake, and Mushroom Stroganoff. Prices range from £17.95-£24.95 per person.
The Grange also features full Banquet service with tableside service. You can choose a starter, an main course and a dessert from one of four menus. Some dishes include Pâté de Foie Gras on a bed of mixed lettuce served with an Orange Grand Marnier dressing, toasted Brioche & Onion Marmalade, or Lobster Tail, Scallops & King Prawns served in a reduction of white wine & double cream with a fresh herb & cheese crust. Prices range from £21.50-£49.50 per person.
The Grange also features an extensive wine list and a fully stocked bar as well as kid services that range from specific dishes to kid themed parties with entertainment that allows the adults to enjoy the event.
